Sorouh Real Estate, UAE’s leading real estate developer, is sponsoring
ArtParis Abu Dhabi Exhibition, the premium showcase of contemporary
art, at Emirates Palace from 26 - 29 November 2007.
Sorouh’s support to ArtParis Abu Dhabi stems from the company’s
fundamental strategy of reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s status as the Middle
East’s capital of arts, culture and heritage and also as an initiative
to support the community through this endeavour. The first-ever ArtParis Abu Dhabi is expected to become a not-to-be-missed annual meeting point for the international art scene, as well as for art collectors and art lovers of the Arab world. General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces inaugurated the event which is organised by Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) and Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC). Relying on expertise of the art fair created in the French capital in 1999, the prestigious exhibition will include 47 galleries from 17 countries including the UAE, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, China, France, Germany, The Netherlands, India, Iran, Italy, Lebanon, Oman, Switzerland, Syria, Tunisia and the US. The exhibition is open to public from 4:00pm to 9:00pm on the final three days. Sorouh which has already collected several awards since its launch over two years ago is not new to the concept of art and architecture, merging art and heritage with the lifestyle master-planned communities it is currently developing. “Our designs have won several accolades including the ‘Best Commercial Project’ for the Gate District, while Al Oyoun Village, a rental village in Al Ain has splendidly blended art aesthetics with beautiful architecture,” said Masood Al-Awar, Executive Director of Sales and Marketing at Sorouh Real Estate. “Thus being part of the prestigious ArtParis Abu Dhabi is a natural progression of our vision of ‘bringing communities to life in perfect balance’. Also the nature of this prestigious event is to create a dialogue between all cultures through economic and cultural exchanges, a vibrant ethos that echoes through Sorouh’s fundamental strategy,” Mr. Al-Awar concluded. |
