Scheduled to commence construction in two phases during 2007, Yas Island occupies a total land area of 2,500 hectares, of which 1,700 hectares will be claimed for development. The Island will feature attractions such as a world-class motor sports racetrack, signature hotels, the Ferrari theme park, water park, and the Abu Dhabi destination retail development of 300,000 sq m retail area, links and parkland golf courses, lagoon hotels, marinas, polo clubs, apartments, villas and numerous food & beverage outlets that will create a unique international tourist destination.

 Ferrari Theme Park

The Ferrari Theme Park is a branded themed entertainment destination offering a range of 24 themed attractions for the entire family. The 70-metre-high G Force tower is one of the most exciting rides you can enjoy. For the first time, a twin rollercoaster ride allows you and a companion to race against each other. You can go-kart, enjoy rally driving and dune buggies in the theme park. It also offers an 18-screen theatre complex and a multitude of food and beverage outlets. 

 Race Track

You can experience for yourself the thrill of high-speed motoring. Yas Island will have a world-class racetrack winding its way around villages, marina and dunes. You can enjoy the activities of the racetrack from the sky deck of the Aldar signature Hotel or from the comfort of a yacht berthed in the marina. Better still, you can test-drive the circuit with seasoned instructors on the only Ferrari driving school in the world outside the Ferrari Maranello base.

  Retail

The Retail centre in Yas Island with an area of 300,000 square metres built over three levels offers a unique shopping experience. A central exhibition arena is the ideal venue for fashion shows, concerts and product launches. You can shop at well-known anchor stores and choose from a variety of exclusive brands. The retail centre also has a kid’s zone, fitness centre, video arcades, bowling centres and even a dedicated ladies spa providing beauty and health services.

 Hotels Beach Resorts

Yas Island is dotted with hotels and beach resorts ranging from the iconic to popular attractions. The Aldar Signature Hotel located above one of the racetrack grandstands provides spectacular views of international motor racing.  Water Park

There is something for everyone at the Water Park in Yas Island. The Giant Maelstrom, Velkoma water bomber, Master Blaster and the enclosed three metre hurricane rides appeal to all thrill seekers. The Water Park offers activities such as the family boomerang and the bubba tub ride, an activity pool with a giant rain fortress, wave pool and the lazy river to entertain the family.
