Dubai Land

dubailand is a multiuse entertainment, retail, corporate and residential complex that is currently under construction in dubai that will serve as a major attraction for hundreds of thousands of people to live, work and visit.

 

 

the project is set to encompass 3 billion square feet of land (278 square kilometers), which is nearly as much land in the emirate that is developed now! there will be six major zones or theme worlds, including downtown, attractions and experience world, eco-tourism world, sports and outdoor world, retail and entertainment world and leisure and vacation world. dubailand is the vision of dubai's current ruler sheikh mohammed bin rashid al maktoum.

 

 

dubailand will have 45 major development projects and over 200 subprojects when finished. these projects encompass virtually everything a visitor or resident could ask for, from entertainment and housing to sports and recreation. the project is currently in phase i, with the major infrastructure and first developments being constructed. dubai sports city, a freehold project within the sports and outdoor world, already has some housing units and sports facilities completed.

downtown in the city of arabia will be the heart of dubailand and emulate any major metropolitan downtown experience, with a mix of entertainment, dining, retail and residential facilities. the city of arabia is a mixed use development with residences, offices and retail as well as several other major projects, including the towers, dubai walk, virtual games world and teen world.

   

attractions and experience world

 

full of theme parks, fun and adventure, this will be one of the largest tourist attractions in dubailand; indeed, in the whole world. in addition to the theme and water parks geared towards visitors of all ages, this world will have residential and hotel complexes, retail facilities, schools, health clubs and even an indoor ski center, the snowdome.

   

eco-tourism world

 

this world will have a series of natural attractions integrated with the native desert surroundings. an animal world and petting zoo, equestrian center, science museum and hotels and villas will be located here.

   

sports and outdoor world

 

with the dubai autodrome and business park already completed, this section of dubailand is set to keep visitors and residents on the edge of their seats. major international competitions in a number of sports will take place regularly here. extreme sports, golfing and polo are other attractions set for sports and outdoor world. dubai sports city is part of this world, and is already well on its way to becoming the premier sports and living complex in the world.

   

retail and entertainment world

 

this will be the shopping center for anybody, anywhere to experience. outlets, auctions, a flea market and the largest mall in the world will all be here. the mall of arabia is slated to be the world’s largest shopping mall at 10 million square feet or nearly a million square meters and 1000 stores to keep you shopping for days.

   

leisure and vacation world

 

for those who want to get away from the rest of the world, even in dubailand, there is leisure and vacation world. this is a relaxing area with spas, health clubs, wellness retreats and vacation village residences and hotels. relax and enjoy this world.

   

dubailand is located along emirates ring road and will provide easy access to downtown dubai, the dubai international airport and the other emirates. the project is expected to take at least ten years to be completed.
