A leading property services firm has said office
space in Dubai will grow by 250% within three years to 110 million
square feet, reported Gulf News. The city currently has 32 million
square feet of office space, almost all of which is occupied.
Nicholas Maclean, managing director of CB Richard
Ellis in the Middle East, said ongoing construction activity will
create 80 million square feet of office space between 2008 and 2011.
However, he warned that only a limited portion of new supply will meet
the needs of multinational companies as not all buildings under
construction meet international office space standards.
