The registrations for the Phase II freehold land
sales of the Residential City at Dubai World Central, the 140 sq km
urban land project in Jebel Ali, will begin at the 4th International
Property Show (IPS), Middle East’s biggest transactional real estate
show being held between 17-19 February 2008 at Dubai International
Exhibition Centre. Actual land sales for 254 plots ranging from 5,000
to 12,000 sq m will commence next month.
Khalid bin Harib,
CEO, Real Estate, Dubai World Central, said, “With the first phase sold
out in 2007, generating Dh2.5 billion in sales, the second phase has
already garnered over 700 potential customers. We hope to top that
interest for registration at the IPS Dubai event”.
Over
184 hectares of land will be available in Phase 2 of Dubai World
Central Residential City, the city’s largest phase that will be home to
around 53,000 people. Phase 2 will also have 19 plots for mixed-use
real estate development while 9 plots are reserved for commercial and
public amenities like schools, malls, hotels, health centres, mosques,
fuel stations and parks.
