Under his patronage, MEED will host the two-day event supported by
RAKIA at the Al Hamra Fort Hotel in Ras Al Khaimah. This forum is
designed to showcase the latest information on all key current and
upcoming projects in the Emirate including the Saqr Port expansion, the
Rotana Hotel project and specific RAKIA investment projects.
Economic strengthening and diversification of the Emirate is moving
at an incredibly swift pace with RAKIA alone having invested over
US$408 million in local projects and attracted over US$950 million in
outside investment since 2004.
Foreign trade in Ras Al Khaimah
increased by 110% in 2005, with total foreign trade climbing to AED
10.4 billion in value. Development is occurring across a variety of
areas such as tourism, healthcare, real estate, sporting facilities and
retail. Developments in healthcare and education hold a total
investment of over US$2 billion in the next five years.
