Nakheel
,
a Dubai World company and one of the world's largest and most
innovative real estate developers, today launched Al Hejaz, the third
style of home available in the first phase of family-oriented
residential community, Al Furjan.
Inspired by traditional Arabic architecture, the Al Hejaz Style
follows on from the successful launch of existing designs, the Dubai, a
favoured local architectural style, and the Quortaj, a fusion of
Islamic and Mediterranean architecture. Al Hejaz style homes include
the mashrabiya, a traditional intricately carved porch as well as
decorative panels and stylised arches, creating residences of striking
beauty and elegance.
Engineer Mohammed Rashed Bin Dhabeah, Director, Al Furjan, said:
"From the area of the same name that predates the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia the Al Hejaz Style home has been inspired by the warm
architectural notes along the Red Sea coast, with their earth tones of
oranges and browns, and offers residents an intricately crafted home
reminiscent of those located in one of the region's most regarded
areas.
"The well-planned feel of the villas and
terraced homes combined with spacious landscaped pathways, make Al
Furjan's beautiful homes the embodiment of calm and tranquillity.
Schools, individual neighbourhood centres and amenities make it ideal
for family living."
Al Furjan combines 3, 5, and 6
bedroom villas and 3 bedroom terraced homes with open spaces for
children and families to interact. Innovative design details are
incorporated in every aspect of the development; from the creative use
of community spaces to the interior choices, which are easily adapted
for Western or Arabic living. Residents may choose from a selection of
home styles on different plot sizes which will result in more diverse
streetscapes.
Al Furjan comprises of four communities,
each will be defined by their individual neighbourhood centre. Boasting
more than 4,000 elegant homes complemented by an abundance of open
spaces and a multitude of amenities, Al Furjan is a new model for
community living.
