UAE to reward firms that take care of workers

The UAE has announced incentives for companies that provide decent accommodation facilities for their workers, reported Khaleej Times. The UAE's Minister of Labour, Dr Ali bin Abdullah Al Kaabi, said the incentives will include the bracketing of these companies in the ministry's 'A' category, allowing them 25% of their required work permits without the need to furnish bank guarantees, and charging reduced fees for issuing of the work permits.
